BILT HAMBER AUTO-WHEEL
What's so special about the Auto-Wheel?
In most cases, steel and alloy wheels are painted or lacquered. These coatings protect the metal surface from corrosion and provide an attractive finish to car wheels.
When vehicles brake, the dust released from brake pads, discs, and drums reaches high temperatures. This hot cloud contains thousands of hot metal particles. These bombard the rim finish and effectively embed themselves there. Once caked on, these particles are extremely difficult to remove.
Acidic alloy wheel cleaners effectively attack metal particles, reduce their size, and allow them and the encrusted dirt to escape. Caustic alloy wheel cleaners are less effective than acidic brake dust cleaners, but can damage organic coatings like lacquer and paint with short exposure. They attack any organic matter that accumulates around the embedded particles and leave a seemingly clean surface. However, prolonged use will dull and damage the coating, requiring refinishing.
The more effective and safer Auto-Wheel works in a completely different way and has proven itself by winning annual independent tests conducted by the UK's best-selling car magazine! Most recently in 2017, when we tested both powerful acidic and alkaline cleaners. – See the test here!
Auto-Wheel's formula reacts with the oxidizing surface of the metal particles, making them water-soluble. The rapid removal of this microscopic rusty surface reduces the embedded particles and loosens them from the surface. Unlike acidic alloy wheel cleaners, this method is harmless to the wheel's finish. The reaction is visible as a rapid color change from clear to deep red. After a simple rinse with the garden hose, rinsing, or pressure washing, the wheels remain spotlessly clean. In severe cases, the included wheel brush can be used to assist the process.
Auto-Wheel is available in 1 and 5 liter bottles.
1 liter Auto-Wheel comes with a spray head.
