What is so special about the BP-M D125 M14 Backing Plate?
The FLEX BP-M D125 M14 is a professional, medium-hard backing plate designed for use on rotary polishers with an M14 connection (such as the well-known FLEX PE 14-2). With a diameter of 125mm, this is the standard size for most polishing jobs, perfect for pads from 130mm to 140mm. What sets this backing plate apart is the high-quality foam layer between the threads and the Velcro.
This layer acts as a shock absorber that absorbs surface irregularities and distributes pressure evenly, significantly reducing the risk of paint damage or "marks" during rotary polishing.

How do you use the BP-M D125 M14 Backing Plate?
Screw the backing plate directly onto the M14 shaft of your rotary polisher. Use the spindle lock knob on the machine to tighten the plate by hand (tools are usually not required). Attach a suitable polishing pad exactly in the center of the Velcro surface. Because a rotary machine generates more heat than an orbital polisher, it is important to keep the plate flat while working and not to constantly apply pressure to the edges. After use, you can easily unscrew the plate. Regularly check that the Velcro layer is free of accumulated polishing compound to ensure maximum adhesion of your pads.
