Hoe reinig je je vuile quad het best voor een als nieuw resultaat?
Quads krijgen het zwaar te verduren: diepe modder, zand, water, stenen en stof stapelen zich razendsnel op.
Omdat een quad veel open delen heeft (ophanging, aandrijving, differentieel, kunststofdelen), is een goede wasroutine essentieel. Door je quad correct te reinigen, bescherm je onderdelen, voorkom je slijtage en blijft hij langer krachtig en betrouwbaar.

STEP 1: Preparation!
Plaats je quad op een stabiele standaard en laat hem volledig afkoelen. Tape gevoelige onderdelen af zoals het luchtfilter of gebruik een lunchtinlaatover. Vergeet ook je uitlaat niet af te dichten.
STEP 2: Pre-wash!
Rinse the engine thoroughly with water (preferably low pressure to prevent damage). Use a pre-wash foam like Q2M Foam to loosen the dirt so you won't have to scrub as hard later. Use an insect remover to loosen stubborn bugs without scrubbing. Mud and dirt stuck to your tires and rubber can easily be removed with Q2M Tire Cleaner and a tire brush.
STEP 3: Handwash
Use a mild but powerful engine cleaner, working from top to bottom. Use separate brushes for the chain, frame, and plastic parts to prevent scratches. For your plastic parts, we recommend a soft washcloth like the Incredimitt. For your rims, use a rim brush like the Incredibrush. And for your chain, use the MaxShine Tire Scrub Brush. Want an extra dirt-repellent layer? Then definitely use a product like Q2M Bathe+ to prevent new dirt from adhering to your motorcycle.
STEP 4: Clean the drive and chain!
Mud accumulates between the links. Clean your chain with a chain cleaner and brush (MaxShine Tire Scrub Brush), then rinse and let dry. Use a degreaser to remove excess grease, and don't forget to re-grease your chain afterward!
STEP 5: Aftercare & lubrication!
Dry the motorcycle thoroughly (preferably with a microfiber cloth or air blower to remove water from crevices). Re-lubricate the chain and treat any plastic parts with a UV and dehydration protector.
Na elke rit in modder of zand. Bij droge ritten volstaat wekelijks wassen.
Ja, maar voorzichtig. Blijf weg van lagers, elektrische aansluitingen, luchtinlaat en cardanopeningen. Gebruik altijd lage druk.
Een krachtige pre-wash foam zoals Q2M Foam die geschikt is voor modder, zand en klei. Quads hebben meestal sterkere vervuiling dan motors.
Gebruik een degreaser en lange borstels. Til de quad licht op of gebruik een werkstandaard voor betere toegang.
Gebruik kettingreiniger + borstel. Spoel, droog en smeer de ketting altijd opnieuw.
Ja, maar gebruik nooit glansproducten op het loopvlak, alleen op de zijwanden.
Gebruik een spray sealant of plastic protector. Hierdoor blijft modder minder hechten en is de volgende wasbeurt veel sneller.
