The FLEX BP-M/R D125 is the original, cushioned Velcro backing plate with a diameter of 125 mm, specifically developed for the large eccentric machines from FLEX: the XFE 7-15 (random orbital) and the XCE 10-8 (forced-rotation). This backing plate is crucial for the machine's balance; it is precisely aligned to minimize vibrations, which prevents hand fatigue during long polishing sessions. The plate features a special hole pattern for optimal dust extraction and cooling, which prevents both your polishing pad and the paintwork from overheating. The high-quality Velcro adhesive is heat-resistant and ensures that your pads remain securely in place, even under maximum load.

How do you use it?
To mount or replace the backing plate, use the hex key (Allen wrench) included with your polishing machine. Lock the spindle (on the XFE) or hold the drive mechanism steady and unscrew the central bolt. Place the new BP-M/R D125 on the mount, ensuring that the fitting perfectly aligns with the machine's gear teeth. Tighten the bolt securely. When using the machine, it is important to always attach the pad centered on the plate to prevent imbalance. After polishing, it is advisable to occasionally blow out the backing plate with compressed air to prevent polishing dust from accumulating in the cooling channels and the Velcro.
