FLEX DT-P
What is so special about the DT-P?
The FLEX DT-P is an essential rotary adapter specifically designed for the FLEX PXE 80 10.8-EC (and the new 12-EC). While the PXE is typically used in dual-action mode for safe polishing, this adapter transforms the machine into a pure rotary mini-polisher. This is indispensable for "heavy" work on a small surface: think of removing deep scratches, sanding away dust nibs (spot repair), or restoring heavily weathered headlights. Through direct rotation, you introduce more heat and friction into the paintwork, which results in a much higher correction rate than in dual-action mode.

How do you use the DT-P?
Installation is completely tool-free thanks to the Quick-Connect system. Pull the locking ring on the head of the PXE 80 downward, insert the DT-P adapter, and release the ring to lock it in place. You can then click the desired backing plate (for example, the 30 mm or 75 mm variant) onto the adapter. Because the rotary mode is more aggressive, we recommend starting at a lower speed and keeping the machine in constant motion to prevent the paint from getting too hot. After use, you can easily remove the adapter by pulling the ring down again, after which you can immediately switch to an eccentric adapter for the finishing step.
