What is so special about the DT-XF 3 Adapter?
The FLEX DT-XF 3 is the fine-tuned eccentric adapter for the FLEX PXE 80 10.8-EC (and the 12-EC). This adapter gives the machine a 3 mm throw (orbit). While the 12 mm adapter is intended for coarser correction, the 3 mm variant is specifically designed for the finest work: creating a perfect high-gloss finish, applying wax or sealants, and performing extremely precise sanding (spot repair). Due to the small throw, the machine is extremely smooth in the hand and provides maximum control, which is essential when working on delicate materials or very narrow parts.

How do you use the DT-XF 3 Adapter?
Just like the other PXE adapters, you can easily click the DT-XF 3 into the machine by pulling the locking ring downward. This adapter is usually combined with 30 mm or 75 mm backing plates. Attach a soft finishing pad to the plate and set the machine to a medium to high speed. Because the throw is only 3 mm, the risk of holograms or paint damage is virtually zero. This also makes it extremely suitable for sanding out dust nibs (using the correct sanding discs) before you begin polishing. After use, pull the ring down again to change or store the adapter.
