What's so special about the IW 1/2" 18.0-EC/5.0 Set?
The FLEX IW 1/2'' 18.0-EC is an extremely powerful cordless impact wrench built for heavy-duty work, such as loosening seized wheel bolts or chassis assembly work. Thanks to the brushless motor, the machine delivers impressive torque while remaining compact and manageable. The machine features three different speed and torque settings, allowing you to perform both delicate screwing work and brute force. The 1/2" square drive is the standard for most power sockets. This set comes complete with two 5.0 Ah batteries and a fast charger, ensuring you never run out of power, even during long jobs.

How do you use the IW 1/2" 18.0-EC/5.0 Set?
Select the desired power setting (1, 2, or 3) on the control panel at the base of the machine, depending on the size of the bolt and the required force. Place a suitable impact socket onto the 1/2" drive and ensure it is securely locked. Set the rotation direction knob to the correct position (counterclockwise for loosening, clockwise for tightening). Place the socket straight onto the bolt or nut and gradually press the switch; the machine will start hammering as soon as resistance is felt.
Important: Use the impact wrench only to tighten bolts "hand-tight" or to pry them loose. Always use a torque wrench to permanently tighten wheel bolts to ensure the correct tension and prevent damage. Clean the machine after use and store the batteries in the supplied case.
