What is so special about the BP-M D50 PXE Backing Plate?
The FLEX BP-M D50 PXE is the 50mm (2-inch) backing plate specifically designed for the FLEX PXE 80 10.8-EC. This intermediate size is the "sweet spot" for precision work: large enough to efficiently mount small panels, but small enough to remain extremely maneuverable.
The plate features a special damping layer that absorbs vibrations, which is essential for a compact machine that runs at high speeds. Thanks to the high-quality Velcro, polishing pads from 50mm to 60mm remain rock-solid, even during intensive use in rotary mode.

How do you use the BP-M D50 PXE Backing Plate?
Thanks to the tool-free quick-change system of the PXE 80, you can click the BP-M D50 onto the desired adapter (rotary or eccentric) in no time. Pull the machine's locking ring down, insert the backing plate, and release the ring to lock it in place. Carefully center a 50mm polishing pad on the plate to prevent imbalance. This size is ideally suited for polishing door sills, complex bumper sections, and interior trim. After use, you can easily remove the plate; regularly check that no polishing compound has gotten between the Velcro to extend the lifespan of your pads.
