The FLEX AP 18.0/5.0 is a high-quality 18-volt Lithium-Ion battery with a capacity of 5.0 Ah, designed for maximum endurance and performance. This battery forms the heart of the FLEX cordless platform and is equipped with the innovative KEEP CONTROL technology. This technology constantly monitors the temperature and status of the cells to prevent overcharging and overheating. How do you use the AP 18.0/5.0?
Slide the battery onto the charger or the machine until you hear a clear click that locks it in place. To check the current charge level, briefly press the test button on the front; the four green LED indicators immediately show how much energy is still available (e.g., 4 LEDs means 75-100% full). When working with heavy-duty machines, such as the XFE or XCE polishers, it is advisable to replace the battery as soon as the last LED starts flashing to avoid unnecessarily activating the deep discharge protection. For maximum lifespan, charge the battery at room temperature and store it in a dry place when not in use for extended periods.
