What's so special about the Smooth Leather Care Kit?
Clean the leather item thoroughly before refreshing the colour or applying maintenance products. Use COLOURLOCK Mild Leather Cleaner for normal soiling or COLOURLOCK Strong Leather Cleaner in extreme cases (e.g., when the leather has been neglected for years, such as in classic cars stored in garages and barns). Cleaning before treatment prevents dirt from bonding to the leather surface when using colour or maintenance products. Our COLOURLOCK Leather Cleaning Brush effectively removes ingrained dirt.
For surface care, we recommend our COLOURLOCK Leather Protector. It contains antioxidants that prevent leather rot, and the UV filters protect the leather surface against colour fading and make the leather soft and supple again.
The kit is usually sufficient to treat a complete car interior or a complete furniture set multiple times. The cleaner should only be used on soiled surfaces, while the protector should be applied to all surfaces. In cases of extreme soiling, a larger amount of cleaner may be required. However, this is rare.

How do you use Smooth Leather Care Kit?
Always test products on an inconspicuous area first to prevent any potential impact on the colour.
COLOURLOCK Mild Leather Cleaner
The leather cleaner comes in a foam bottle. Foam cleans leather more efficiently than liquid products, consumption is significantly lower, and the leather does not get wet, which could otherwise lead to hardening after drying.
The leather cleaner cleans the leather in a gentle way. Apply some foam to the cleaning sponge and apply this to the leather. Remove dirty foam residues with a slightly damp cloth.
COLOURLOCK Leather Protector
Use COLOURLOCK Leather Protector as soon as the leather is dry after cleaning or colour refreshing, preferably the next day. Apply it with a soft cloth and let it dry without buffing. One application is sufficient. Surfaces subject to high stress (intensive use or sun exposure) should be treated every three months. Always clean first to prevent sealing in dirt or stains.
