What is so special about the Fine Line Tape?
The HPX Fine Line Tape (often referred to as the blue or green variant) is the specialist for ultra-precise work. While the gold masking tape is intended for general masking, this Fine Line tape is made of a flexible PVC backing. With a width of just 9 mm, this tape is extremely flexible and stretchable, making it perfect for following sharp curves, contours, and complex shapes in the sheet metal. It is very thin, resulting in minimal "paint buildup" along the edges and a razor-sharp separation. For detailers, this is the go-to tape for protecting narrow trim strips or for laying out perfect lines for multi-stage polishing on rounded panels.

How do you use the Fine Line Tape?
Ensure an absolutely grease-free surface for the best adhesion. Pull the tape from the roll with light, constant tension while guiding it into the desired shape with your other hand. Thanks to the plasticity of the PVC backing, you can lay the tape around sharp curves without the outer edge "folding" or the inner edge "wrinkling". Press the tape down firmly after positioning. When removed, provided the surface has been properly pre-treated, this tape leaves no adhesive residue and does not tear into small pieces, which sometimes happens with paper tape in curves. It is resistant to temperatures up to 150°C, making it safe to use for intensive polishing or in the spray booth.
