What is so special about the Carbon Brush Set?
This set of replacement carbon brushes is an essential maintenance part for the most popular Dual Action polishers, including the MaxShine M8S and the well-known DAP500/DAP900 series. Carbon brushes are wear parts that transfer electrical current to the rotating motor (the armature). Over time, these brushes wear down due to friction. This set ensures your machine runs at full power again, without stuttering or excessive sparking, significantly extending the lifespan of your polisher.

How to use the Carbon Brush Set
Replace the brushes when the machine runs irregularly, loses power, or when you hear the motor "stutter."
- Safety: Always unplug the power cord before you begin.
- Access: Unscrew the cover caps on the side of the machine housing using a suitable screwdriver.
- Replacement: Carefully remove the old, worn carbon brushes from the holders (watch out for the spring) and insert the new set. Ensure the brush can move freely in the shaft and that the copper connector makes good contact.
- Breaking-in: Screw the caps back on and, after replacement, let the machine run unloaded for about 2 to 3 minutes on a low setting. This allows the new brushes to perfectly conform to the armature for optimal electrical conductivity.
