What's so special about the Premium SOFTouch Wool Pad?
Scholl SOFTouch Topwool pads feature an innovative sandwich-like construction that combines the benefits of natural wool with a foam pad. This is achieved by adding a layer between the wool surface and the Velcro backing. This combination results in great flexibility and easy control and distribution of pressure.
This hybrid pad offers high corrective power, similar to traditional, beloved lambswool pads, with the polishing comfort of a soft foam pad. The SOFTouch pads are extremely suitable for professional detailers and any other rotary user. Pads with such high corrective power are necessary to perform heavy correction on hard or medium-hard paintwork.
The natural fibers remove deep scratches and sanding marks faster than traditional heavy-correction pads. Moreover, the volume of a sheepskin pad provides better air circulation, keeping the surface cooler during polishing. The risk of overheating or burning the paint is therefore further reduced with a wool pad!
In rotary polishing, it is a fact that wool pads have up to 30% more corrective power than traditional polyurethane (PU) foam. An additional advantage of natural fibers is the strong cooling and heat-absorbing property of a wool pad. Despite these great advantages, many detailers still prefer to avoid wool pads. The main reason for this is the comfort of a PU pad on curved panels. Based on these facts, SCHOLL has chosen to equip the wool pad with a thin layer of foam, onto which the wool layer and Velcro backing are attached. The result is the corrective power of a wool pad with the comfort of a PU pad!

How do you use the Premium SOFTouch Wool Pad?
Attach the Softouch Wool Pad centered on the backing plate of your rotary or dual-action (DA) polisher. Apply an appropriate amount of heavy-cut polishing compound (such as Scholl Concepts S2 Black or S3 Gold) to the pad.
Start polishing at a low speed to spread the product, then increase the speed. Thanks to the Softouch layer, you can apply light pressure to follow the car's contours without damaging the paint. Keep the pad as flat as possible on the surface while working. Regularly clean the pad during use with a dedicated pad brush or compressed air; wool fibers saturated with polishing residue will lose their cutting power. After use, hand-wash the pad with lukewarm water and let it air-dry with the fibers facing down.
