Leather interior parts in convertibles, the sides of the driver and passenger seat cushions, and in short, all leather upholstery that needs protection against rain, should be treated regularly with Elephant Leather Preserver. Unlike animal fats, whale oil, or cheap neatsfoot oil, Elephant Leather Preserver does not turn brown in the sun, does not oxidize, and does not provide a breeding ground for mold. This is why Elephant Leather Preserver is also used as a leather care product in famous museums.

How do you use Elephant Leather Fat?
First, clean the leather thoroughly with a suitable leather cleaner. Because Elephant Leather Preserver is a highly concentrated product, you only need a very small amount. Take a small amount of the balm onto a soft, lint-free cloth. Rub the cloth between your hands briefly to warm it up (or use a hairdryer on the lowest setting to slightly warm the balm in the jar) so it spreads more easily.
Then, apply the balm evenly to the leather and rub it in well. For very dry leather, you can repeat the process after one day. Note: This product is not suitable for suede or nubuck; it is intended only for pigmented and semi-aniline smooth leather.
