What is so special about the Teerwäsche A?
Koch-Chemie Teerwäsche A (Tea) is a specialized, solvent-based cleaner designed for the effortless removal of tar, bitumen, and sticky residues. The product is distinguished by its official Daimler approval, which demonstrates that it is safe for use on modern paintwork when applied correctly. Unlike more aggressive alternatives, Tea is free of halogenated hydrocarbons. It is the ideal solution for the lower panels of a vehicle, where tar spatters often accumulate, but it is also extremely suitable for cleaning workshop floors and machinery contaminated with bitumen.

How do you use the Teerwäsche A?
Apply Teerwäsche A undiluted to a dry surface. This can be done using a spray bottle, a soft microfiber cloth, or an applicator. Allow the product to dwell for a short time (usually 1 to 2 minutes) to let the tar or bitumen dissolve. For stubborn contamination, you can work the product in manually with a cloth or sponge. Then, rinse the treated surface thoroughly with a pressure washer or wipe away the residue with a clean, damp microfiber cloth.
Tip: Only use this product on solvent-resistant surfaces. Avoid contact with sensitive plastics (such as polycarbonate headlights) and never let the product dry on the paintwork. When in doubt, always test on an inconspicuous area first.
