What's so special about the Wash Bucket Insert?
The Grit Guard Insert fits perfectly in the bottom of your Grit Guard Wash Bucket and separates the dirt from your wash mitt! The circular design removes sand and dirt from your wash mitt, so you have a perfectly clean mitt every time you take it out of the wash bucket to wash the next section of your car. All potentially harmful particles fall to the bottom of the bucket, keeping them far away from your mitt and your car's paint. This simple and cost-effective method protects your precious paint from scratches and wash marks.
The Grit Guard isn't a gimmick; it's a logical system. When you place your mitt in a bucket of water, the fibers fully open. When you then rub the mitt against the Grit Guard, the dirt falls out of the open fibers. Once the dirt settles at the bottom of the bucket, the Grit Guard stops it from swirling around the water during your next rinse. This is achieved by dividing the bottom into four equal sections, preventing the dirt from re-entering the mitt.

How do you use the Wash Bucket Insert?
Simply place the insert on the bottom of a standard 12 or 19 liter (5 gallon) wash bucket. Ensure it lies flat. Fill the bucket with water and shampoo. While washing the car, regularly dip the dirty wash mitt deep into the water and rub it over the grid. The dirt is "combed" out of the mitt's fibers and disappears under the Grit Guard. Preferably use this in combination with a second bucket (the rinse bucket) for the safest result. After the wash, remove the grid from the bucket to rinse away the settled sludge from the bottom.
