5 hacks for ANYONE to get more out of the foam process!

Super popular, super fun AND saves your paintwork from scratches during the washing process! What else can you do with foam?

1

Brush while you wait

Grab a detailing brush and get deep into the details while the foam sets in.

2

Boost power with APC

Add All Purpose Cleaner in the foam bottle for extra thorough washes.

3

Spray Bug & Grime and foam over it

Save time and let your insect remover soak in a little longer.

4

Spray rim cleaner and foam over it

If you are in a hurry combine rim cleaner and foam in a single step.

5

NEVER scrub on foam

The purpose of foam is just to loosen the contamination without rubbing

01 | Brush the details

While you wait

Foam as usual and leave to soak in

After foaming, you have a few minutes to kill while it soaks in.

Make mini circles with your brush

Take a soft detailing brush and work the foam into crevices and cracks - while trying to avoid the paintwork - where dirt can hide.

Rinse thoroughly

Make sure you rinse the treated areas well.

Buy a detailing brush

02 | Boost power with APC

For those extra thorough washes.

Add 30ml APC to the foam bottle

Add 70ml of foam.

Add 30ml of APC.

Top up with water to make a 750ml solution.

Foam the entire car

As usual. If you see the product drying up then you have already waited too long! This can leave nasty stains so rinse before you see this.

Rinse thoroughly before drying

As you usually do. If you skip a bit you may stain and dirt will be left behind.

Warning - APC is POWERFUL. If you use the wrong ratio it can have a negative effect on the coating and if you let it dry on the paintwork it will leave permanent stains!

03 | Add a layer of Bug & Grime

Save some time and let your insect remover soak in a little longer.

Spray Bug & Grime everywhere needed

Insect remover is an important step in any pre-wash. If you don't have time to spray, rinse, foam, rinse, shampoo, rinse,... then combine Bug & Grime and foam.

Spray on heavily soiled areas first.

Foam the entire car immediately

Definitely do not leave Bug & Grime on the panel for too long, it is a very powerful product - so foam over it immediately to keep it well moistened.

Rinse thoroughly

Once it has soaked in for a few minutes, rinse thoroughly. Again as usual. If you skip a bit you may stain and dirt will be left behind.

04 | Add a coat of rim cleaner

For super fun rim cleaning.

Spray the rims

Spray the 4 rims with Iron Wheel Cleaner - both inside and outside.

Foam the entire car immediately

Foam over it - along with the rest of the car.

Scrub the rims and enjoy the discolouration

Now it's time to scrub - take your rim glove/brush and make quick work of cleaning your rims. Make sure you work fast enough to rinse the rest of the car in time.

This is another time saver. Of course, it is best to do each step separately. Ideal for creating great social media content though, everyone wants to behold the purple foam.

05 | Never scrub with foam!

Unless you want the car to be full of wax scratches.

We know, it looks great

This really is NOT DONE and yet we see it every day on social media. With numerous likes and views but also leaving numerous wax scratches.

You rub the dirt into the paintwork

Pre-wash foam removes dirt so you do NOT touch it with your washing glove. When you then use regular shampoo afterwards, the chances of wax scratches are much lower while rubbing with your wash mitt.

Foam with shampoo

If you really want this:

Foam first with a specific pre-wash foam and rinse thoroughly.

Put shampoo in your foam lance, foam the car and wash it with your wash mitt

Is this the best way to wash? No, but at least the dirt is gone before you start washing.
