01 | What does 'safe drying' mean?
After rinsing the car, your next task is to quickly and safely remove all water from all surfaces with high-quality drying towels or a blow dryer. Be careful, this step has the highest potential risk of causing scratches, because you no longer have any lubricant like when washing. You are rubbing residual or new dirt dry over the paint with all the consequences that entails.
Dries quickly - Due to the enormous absorption capacity, you do not need to wring out the cloth, which saves time and prevents streaks.
Dry safely – with soft, thick cloths that keep dirt off the paintwork, rather than rubbing it in, so you don't scratch it.
The less you touch your car the better – air dryers are the ultimate way to dry as the paintwork remains untouched.

02 | The safe types
Waffle weave
The 3D structure provides a larger surface area for greater absorbency.
This is the original microfiber drying towel on the market, still used by our old school customers!
Plush
High-GSM cloth with very thick, soft, dense microfibers for high absorption capacity and also very soft and safe.
Use this if you maintain your car well or have delicate paint. If you don't wash it often, this towel will feel 'sticky' on the paint.
Twisted loop
The microfiber loops add extra surface area for extra absorbency.
A great towel for less frequently washed cars. Almost as absorbent as a plush towel, without the 'sticky' feeling when your car is not kept at the highest level.
Pro Tip: NEVER wring out your drying towel. You’ll never be able to handle a full car with just 1 drying towel – we recommend a towel & glove combo to make your life easier (see point 4 for the best combo).

Don't miss a single detail with a Drying Mitt
03 | The best drying techniques
Dab or drape
Dab - fold the cloth and dab the water off the polish. This takes longer, but it is the safest way because you are not rubbing the polish.
Drape - fully open the cloth, lay it flat and pull it across the full length of the panel at the corners. Draping removes the downward pressure on the paintwork so you avoid scratching and is useful for high pieces.
Fold & Turn
Fold the drying towel and use long, slow strokes without pressure - no circles! As soon as a section of the towel becomes too wet, flip it over to another dry section and continue drying.
Use a quick detailer so it glides more, avoids scratches, streaks and adds shine/protection.
Use a fresh cloth once all sides have been used or the cloth is too wet.
Dry blower
By far the safest way to dry, without touching the car. No touching, no scratching!
Dry details with ease – grilles, logos, door jambs, rims and all other hard to reach places.
Don't chase every drop - save time by quick detailing so you can buff away any remaining water spots.
Pro Tip: No matter how you dry, don't waste too much time chasing every drop or smudge. Instead, use the time to quick detail and you'll get a much better result!
