What is so special about the Clay Towel?
A traditional clay bar works, but it takes time and covers little surface per movement. ADBL's Clay Towel tackles this differently: a cloth provided with a polymer layer that has the same cleaning action, but over a much larger area at once.
Measuring 30 x 30 cm, you have the largest working surface among ADBL's clay alternatives, which makes a full car go considerably faster than with a clay bar, mitt, or sponge. The polymer layer pulls the contamination from your paint that remains after washing: tar, tree sap, asphalt, insect residue, and other stubborn remnants. The result is a surface that feels smooth again, ready for polishing, waxing, or coating.
Always use the cloth on a wet surface with sufficient lubricant, never dry. If your car is heavily contaminated, treat those areas separately first with a tar and adhesive remover and a wheel or fallout cleaner, and rinse well before working with the cloth. Important: never use the Clay Towel together with solvent-based products, as these will irreparably damage the polymer layer. Also, always keep the cloth below 40 °C.

How do you use a Clay Towel?
- Wash the car thoroughly first. In case of heavy contamination, pre-treat those areas with a tar and adhesive remover and a fallout remover, and rinse everything well.
- Wet the panel to be treated thoroughly and use sufficient lubricant. Work panel by panel and never let the surface dry out.
- Wipe over the wet surface with light pressure in straight lines: first in one direction, then crosswise.
- Rinse the cloth regularly in between with water so that the absorbed dirt does not scratch the paint again.
- Continue until the panel feels completely smooth, then move on to the next one.
- Never use the cloth together with solvent-based products such as tar removers, as this will destroy the polymer layer.
- Rinse the cloth thoroughly after use, let it dry, and store it neatly. Never expose it to temperatures above 40 °C.
