What is so special about the Round Detailing Brush 16?
Not every detailing job calls for a fine brush. For grilles, wheel arches, side sills, and larger structural parts, you mainly want to make fast progress, and a narrow brush simply makes for slow work. The No. 16 from ADBL is the largest in the range at 31 mm and is intended precisely for that.
The construction is the same as the smaller sizes: synthetic bristles in a plastic ferrule. The latter is important for your paint. Classic brushes have a metal ring around the bristles, and it is precisely that ring that causes scratches as soon as you get too close to a painted part. With plastic, you don't have that risk.
Thanks to the larger bristle volume, this brush also absorbs more cleaning product, which is useful when you want to treat a larger surface in a single movement. You distribute the product more evenly and need to top it up less frequently.
You use it both inside and outside: grilles and bumper vents, the area around wheel arches, side sills, but also larger interior parts and structured plastics. For finer work in narrow seams, it is better to reach for a smaller size from the same range.
MANUAL
How do you use the Round Detailing Brush 16?
- Rinse the brush before first use to remove any loose hairs.
- Wet the bristles before you begin so they become pliable and absorb the cleaning product better.
- Apply your cleaning product to the brush or to the surface to be cleaned, depending on the area.
- Work with light, controlled movements and let the bristles do the work instead of pushing hard.
- Rinse the brush out regularly in between so that the accumulated dirt is not dragged back across the surface.
- Keep separate brushes for the interior and for dirty exterior parts such as wheels and the engine bay, to avoid transferring dirt and product residue.
- Rinse the brush thoroughly after use and let it dry with the bristles pointing downwards before storing it.
