What is so special about the Clay Mitt?
Traditional claying is effective but time-consuming, and dropping it once means you have to throw your clay bar away. ADBL's Clay Mitt solves both issues: it is a mitt with a polymer layer that performs the exact same task as a clay bar, but is much more practical to use.
You simply slip it on and glide over the lubricated paint. The polymer layer grabs the contamination that has embedded itself in the surface: tar, tree sap, asphalt, insect residue, and other stubborn remnants. With a working surface of approximately 18 x 15 cm, you clearly cover more surface per movement than with a clay bar, which makes a full car noticeably faster. If the mitt falls to the ground, you simply rinse it off and continue working.
Two things are important. Always work with a lubricant like ADBL Slippy, never dry. And do not use the mitt in combination with solvent-based products like tar removers, as these will damage the polymer layer. Also, keep it below 40 °C when cleaning and storing.

How do you use the Clay Mitt?
- Wash the car thoroughly first, preferably using the two-bucket method, so there is no coarse dirt left on the paint that you would smear around.
- Spray the panel to be treated generously with a lubricant such as ADBL Slippy. Work panel by panel and never let the surface dry out.
- Put on the Clay Mitt and glide it over the paint without pressure in straight lines: first in one direction, then crosswise.
- Rinse the mitt regularly in between with water so that the absorbed dirt does not scratch your paint again.
- Continue this way until the panel feels completely smooth, then move on to the next one.
- Never use the mitt together with solvent-based products such as tar removers, as this will irreparably damage the polymer layer.
- Rinse the mitt thoroughly after use, let it dry, and store it. Keep it below 40 °C when doing so.
