What is so special about the Pinky?
With a set of cloths, the weight makes the difference in what you can use them for. At 350 g/m², ADBL's Pinky is in the mid-range: sturdier and more absorbent than a light dusting cloth, yet agile enough to work with precisely. Exactly the balance you need for work that involves some pressure.
What sets this cloth apart is its double-sided construction: both sides have a different fiber structure. This allows you to choose which side to use depending on the job, effectively giving you two cloths in one. Handy when applying a product and buffing it out with the other side.
ADBL specifically mentions manual polishing as a strength, for example with an all-in-one compound like the AIO. For that kind of work, you need precisely this type of cloth: sturdy enough to apply pressure, soft enough not to burden the paint, and without lint left behind on your fresh finish.
The seamless execution is essential in this regard. Cloths with a thick, stitched edge can leave scratches when working over sensitive paint; these cloths do not have that problem. With ten pieces in the pack, you also start with a fresh cloth every time.

How do you use the Pinky?
- Wash the cloths at a low temperature without fabric softener before first use to remove loose fibers and increase absorbency.
- Choose a clean cloth for each job and keep cloths separate for different tasks (paint, interior, glass, wheels).
- Choose the fiber side that best suits the action: one side to apply or work in product, the other to buff out.
- Fold the cloth into quarters: this gives you eight clean working surfaces and allows you to easily switch to a clean side.
- When buffing out compound or wax, work with light, straight movements and change surfaces regularly.
- Put a cloth away as soon as it is saturated, rather than smearing the absorbed product back across the surface.
- Wash the cloths after use at a low temperature without fabric softener and dry them on low heat or air dry.
