Ther
The name doesn't give it away, but the ADBL THER is a hand brush for leather. Thanks to its mixed bristles, it cleans thoroughly enough to get dirt out of the grain while remaining gentle on the leather itself. The ergonomic shape makes working for longer periods comfortable.
ADBL THER
What is so special about the Ther?
Leather upholstery seems easy to maintain, but appearances can be deceiving. Most automotive leather has a coated top layer with a fine, artificially applied grain, and it is precisely in those tiny grooves that body oils, jeans dye, and road grime accumulate. A cloth simply glides right over them. If you really want to get that contamination out, you need a brush that reaches down into the grain.
The ADBL THER is specially made for this purpose. The special feature lies in its mixed bristles: a combination of different hair types that together provide the best of both worlds. They are firm enough to loosen dirt and properly build up the foam of your leather cleaner, yet too soft to leave scratches or shiny spots on the top layer. With leather, that balance is crucial, because an overly aggressive brush will irreparably damage the finish.
The brush fits ergonomically in the hand, which you will notice as soon as you are doing a full set of seats. You use it in conjunction with a leather cleaner: lather briefly, brush lightly, and pick up the lifted dirt with a microfiber cloth. Afterward, use a conditioner to keep the leather supple. It is also great for use on leather steering wheels and worn side bolsters of seats.
MANUAL
How do you use Ther?
- Vacuum the seats and use a fine brush or compressed air to remove grit from the seams and folds.
- Test the brush on an inconspicuous spot first, such as the underside of a seat, especially with untreated or aniline leather.
- Spray the leather cleaner onto the brush instead of directly onto the leather to better control the product dosage.
- Brush the surface in small, circular motions with light pressure until a fine foam appears and the dirt comes to the surface.
- Work per area and immediately remove the foam with a clean, slightly damp microfiber cloth before it can dry.
- Repeat the treatment on heavily soiled areas such as side bolsters and the steering wheel, rather than pressing harder.
- Rinse the brush with lukewarm water after use, shake it out, and let it dry with the bristles facing downwards.
