What is so special about the Clay Bar Grey?
After washing, your paint often still feels rough: these are particles that have embedded themselves in the surface and cannot be removed by washing alone. A clay bar pulls that contamination out and makes your paint glass-smooth again. ADBL's Clay Bar Grey is the hard, most aggressive variant, intended for heavier contamination and harder paints.
This grey clay tackles the most stubborn residues: tree sap, tar, brake dust (rail dust), paint overspray, and mineral deposits (such as water spots). Because it is the coarsest clay bar, you use it targeted at heavily contaminated areas or on paints that can handle a firmer approach.
Important: you never use a clay bar dry. You always use it with a lubricant like ADBL Slippy so that the clay glides smoothly over the paint without causing scratches. Each pack contains 2 pieces of 50 grams. As long as you don't drop it on the ground, the clay is reusable: you store it in a jar with some water and shampoo.

How do you use Clay Bar Grey?
- Wash and dry the car completely first so there is no coarse dirt left on the paint.
- Knead a piece of clay gently and optionally soak it briefly in lukewarm water until it is pliable. Shape it into a flat disc that fits in your hand.
- Spray the area to be treated generously with a clay lubricant such as ADBL Slippy. Work on a small area at a time.
- Move the clay with light pressure in straight lines (not in circles) over the wet surface. You will feel the roughness gradually disappear.
- Fold the clay over regularly so you always work with a clean side and don't drag absorbed dirt back across the paint.
- Wipe the area afterward with a clean microfiber cloth and check if the paint feels smooth. Repeat if necessary.
- Never reuse the clay if it falls on the ground (drop test). Otherwise, store it in a sealed jar with water and some shampoo for a future detailing session.
