What is so special about the Clay Bar Orange?
If your paint still feels rough after washing, there are particles embedded in the surface that washing alone cannot remove. A clay bar pulls that contamination out and makes your paint smooth again. ADBL's Clay Bar Orange is the soft, least aggressive variant, made for lighter contamination and for paints that require a gentler approach.
Despite its mild character, this orange clay tackles the same types of residues as the coarser variants: tree sap, tar, brake dust (rail dust), paint overspray, and mineral deposits such as water spots. Because it is soft, it is the safest for your paint and a good first choice when you are unsure about the hardness, or when the contamination is limited.
Never use a clay bar dry. You always use it with a lubricant such as ADBL Slippy so that the clay glides smoothly over the paint without scratches. Each pack contains 2 pieces of 50 grams. As long as you don't drop it, the clay is reusable: store it in a jar with some water and shampoo.

How do you use the Clay Bar Orange?
- Wash and dry the car completely first so there is no coarse dirt left on the paint.
- Knead a piece of clay gently and optionally soak it briefly in lukewarm water until pliable. Shape it into a flat disc that fits in your hand.
- Spray the area to be treated generously with a clay lubricant such as ADBL Slippy. Work on a small area at a time.
- Move the clay with light pressure in straight lines (not in circles) over the wet surface until the roughness disappears.
- Fold the clay over regularly so you always work with a clean side and don't drag absorbed dirt back across the paint.
- Wipe the area afterward with a clean microfiber cloth and check if the paint feels smooth. Repeat if necessary.
- Never use the clay again if it falls on the ground. Otherwise, store it in a sealed jar with water and some shampoo for a future detailing session.
