BILT-HAMBER AUTO-CLAY
What's so special about Auto-Clay?
So which clay bar do you need?
The choice between the Auto-Clay bars depends on several factors:
Regularly -
If the vehicle is very dirty, has never been clayed before, or if it's hot in summer, use Regular. All clay bars firm up when cold and soften when warm.
Medium -
For paint in reasonable condition, Medium is preferred.
The ability to fold the clay more easily to expose a fresh work surface is very beneficial.
Soft -
If the paint is in good condition, if you clay your car regularly or if the weather is cold, use Soft.
Why use a clay bar?
Assess the extent of embedded metal and brake dust residue that has penetrated the surface of your paintwork by gently rubbing the paint with your fingertips. Feel the grittiness these harmful particles impart to the paint.
With the Bilt-Hamber Auto-Clay sticks—normal, medium, or soft—you can effortlessly remove particles, leaving your paint crystal clear. They also gently remove discolored road film.
Claying makes a world of difference when lubricated with plenty of water and minimal pressure. The rod glides like a hockey puck and is pleasant and satisfying to use.
Not only does the paint feel and look much better after claying, but by removing these objects stuck to the surface, the next steps of paint care can go much more smoothly. Now cleaners, waxes, and polishes glide over the surface much more easily.
It is highly recommended to pre-treat the paint with Korrosol before using a clay bar. This highly active cleaner actively removes embedded metal particles with a simple spray-on, rinse-off action. By removing these particles before using the Auto-Clay bar, the bar will last longer and concentrate its action on the remaining contamination.
