New leather should be treated with our COLOURLOCK Leather Shield within the first three years to protect it from wear and tear and discoloration from clothing (color transfer).

COLOURLOCK LEATHER SHIELD
What is so special about the Leather Seal?
Colourlock Leather Sealant is a unique lotion designed to protect leather from friction and discoloration. Some parts of the seat suffer more from getting in and out of the car, as well as from friction. This friction can transfer the color of other materials (such as denim and leather) to the sensitive leather, and can also cause premature damage.
The Colourlock Leather Sealant prevents this damage by coating the surface with a very fine polymer layer above the leather. This creates an effective layer that sits on top of the leather, minimizing friction and discoloration!
It's perfect for new leather to keep it looking its best, but older interiors can also benefit from this protection. Don't forget to clean and condition it if necessary.

How do you use Leather Shield?
Ensure the leather is thoroughly cleaned and completely dry first. Apply a small amount of Leather Shield to a lint-free cloth or a Colourlock Foam Applicator. Apply the product thinly and evenly from seam to seam, without rubbing hard. Then allow the product to air dry (do not rub). For optimal protection on door bolsters and steering wheels, it is recommended to repeat the treatment every 3 months.
Please note: Leather Shield is always applied after cleaning, but before any nourishing products such as Leather Protector, although for new leather, Leather Shield is often the only protection needed.
