What's so special about Q² Duraflex?
Mohs+ is fantastic and has proven to be incredibly durable protection time and again. The only comment sometimes made is the difference between sheeting and beading. Mohs+ has a more sheeting effect—the water runs off in a larger sheet. The end user or customer prefers a beading or pearling effect. Mohs+ has a contact angle of approximately 90 degrees.
With Gyeon Q2 DuraBead, this angle becomes even greater, and the beading effect even stronger! With an angle of up to 120 degrees, the water seems to want to run off the surface! Gyeon proudly claims that this is the best and most durable coating – with a beading effect! It's a hard ceramic layer that protects the paint from all elements. The combination of the Mohs base coat and the Bead top coat creates an unprecedented water-repellent effect! Add to this the self-cleaning effect of glass coatings, which keeps the paint cleaner even longer.
Just like Mohs+, the DuraBead coating comes with a 2-year warranty. With the correct application and combination of products, the layer is resistant to pH values from 2 to 11. Acids and bases do NOT damage this layer!
