What is so special about the Roller One Step DA?
During heavy correction work with a rotary machine, everything comes together: high cutting power, high heat, and little margin for error. ADBL's Hard Cut R is built for this exact combination, as the hardest pad in the rotary range.
This pad tackles the toughest defects: deep scratches, heavy oxidation, and paint flaws that remain after an initial pass. The harder the pad, the more directly your machine's pressure and movement are transferred into the paint. That makes it exceptionally efficient, but also more demanding: work in a controlled manner, keep moving, and regularly check your results in between.
Two design elements support this. The characteristic diamond shape of the foam ensures more uniform contact with the paint and helps dissipate heat, which is extra important with a rotary machine using a hard pad. Furthermore, the hook-and-loop surface is wider than the backing plate, allowing you to swap pads quickly without having to aim.
The pads are constructed from high-quality components with a careful finish, ensuring they maintain their shape under load. Available in three diameters, from precision work to large panels.

How do you use the Roller One Step DA?
- Wash the car thoroughly, decontaminate where necessary, and make sure the paint is completely clean and cool. Never work in direct sunlight.
- Measure the paint thickness if in doubt. With a hard pad on a rotary machine, you remove a noticeable amount of material.
- Choose the diameter that fits the job and press the pad centrally onto the hook-and-loop fastener of your backing plate.
- Apply your compound sparingly to the pad and spread it across an area of approximately 40 x 40 cm at a low speed first.
- Work at a controlled speed using cross-hatch movements. Keep moving continuously and never stay in one spot to prevent paint burn-through.
- Check your results regularly in between and stop as soon as the defects are gone.
- Clean the pad periodically with compressed air or a pad cleaner, and always follow up with a finer pad and finishing compound before applying protection.
