What is so special about the Roller Soft Polish DA?
Between the correction pads and the pure finishing pads lies a category that often delivers precisely what you need. ADBL's Soft Polish is that intermediate step: softer than the Polish pad, but with just a bit more working power than a finishing pad.
This makes it interesting for paints in reasonably good condition, where you want to remove fine scratches and the dull haze without sacrificing material to heavy correction. It also proves its utility as a second step after a cut pad: it clears away the marks from the previous step and raises the gloss significantly before you start the actual finishing.
The pad works with any type of polishing compound, giving you flexibility. Combine it with a medium compound, and you correct a bit more firmly; with a finishing compound, the emphasis is entirely on the finish. This allows you to go two ways with the same pad.
It can be used on both dual-action and rotary machines, and is available in three diameters covering the full working range: from precision work on narrow panels to smooth progress on the roof and hood.

How do you use the Roller Soft Polish DA?
- Wash the car thoroughly, decontaminate where necessary, and make sure the paint is completely clean and cool. Never work in direct sunlight.
- Choose the diameter that fits the job and your machine's backing plate.
- Press the pad centrally and evenly onto the hook-and-loop fastener so that it is not crooked and won't vibrate.
- Apply your compound sparingly to the pad and spread it across an area of approximately 40 x 40 cm at a low speed first.
- Finish the area using cross-hatch movements and light to medium pressure: first lengthways, then across.
- Do a test spot first to determine whether this combination of pad and compound delivers the desired result.
- Clean the pad periodically with compressed air or a pad cleaner, wash it out after use, and let it air dry flat.
