Surface Cleaner
ADBL Surface Cleaner is the degreaser you use just before applying a film. It removes grease, tar residue, and old adhesive residue, leaving a crystal-clear, streak-free surface so that PPF, wrap film, or window tint adheres properly right away.

What is so special about the Surface Cleaner?
When applying film, preparation is at least as important as the installation work itself. If a thin layer of grease, wax residue, or old glue is left anywhere, the film will not adhere properly there, and bubbles or lifting edges will become visible later.
ADBL Surface Cleaner is developed precisely for that final step: it thoroughly cleans and degreases the surface so that you start with a completely clean substrate. The formula also tackles more stubborn contamination, such as greasy buildup, tar splashes, and residues of previously applied adhesive. Importantly, the product dries streak-free and leaves no haze, as precisely such an invisible residue can hinder the adhesion of your film.
The product can be used when applying PPF (paint protection film, the transparent protective film on your paint), color wrap, and window tint. ADBL explicitly indicates that it is also safe for matte films and matte paint, where many cleaners can cause a difference in gloss or staining. Extra attention should be paid to the edges of each panel: lifting usually starts there. Always test the product on an inconspicuous spot first anyway.

How do you use Surface Cleaner?
- First wash the car completely and then perform a chemical and mechanical decontamination, for example with a fallout remover and a clay bar (a malleable cleaning block that pulls embedded particles out of the paint).
- Test the product on an inconspicuous part of the surface and see how the substrate reacts before proceeding.
- Apply Surface Cleaner to a clean microfiber cloth and use it to wipe down the surface you are about to wrap or film.
- Work panel by panel and pay extra attention to all edges and transitions, as film adheres most difficultly there.
- Regularly use a fresh, dry side of the cloth so that you do not smear loosened dirt back onto the surface.
- Just before installation, rinse the surface with the installation fluid for PPF and remove it with a silicone squeegee; for liquid film, this step is optional.
- Then immediately apply the film so that no new dust or grease can settle on the cleaned surface.
