Tar Remover Thixotropic
ADBL Tar Remover Thixotropic tackles tar and asphalt splashes with a formula based on natural citrus oils. Thanks to its thick, thixotropic structure, the product clings to where you spray it, even on vertical panels, allowing it to dwell longer.

What is so special about the Tar Remover Thixotropic?
Tar splashes are that typical black speckled pattern you mainly find on the lower panels, behind the wheel arches, and on the sills. Washing hardly helps against them, because asphalt residue clings stubbornly to the paint. Rubbing them away is not an option either, as you would simply grind the hard dirt across your paintwork. Therefore, you need a product that chemically dissolves the tar.
That is precisely what ADBL Tar Remover Thixotropic does, using natural citrus oils as its active base and a recognizable orange scent. The special part lies in the word thixotropic: the product has a thicker, gel-like structure that becomes liquid the moment you spray it, but thickens up again on the surface. This prevents it from immediately running off your bumper or door, making it stick where you need it. That longer contact time is what makes the difference with stubborn spots.
Besides tar and asphalt, the product is also suitable for tackling greasy buildup in places you skip during a regular wash, such as hollow spaces and the door jambs. For anyone thoroughly preparing their paint for a wax, sealant, or coating, this is the step you perform before the clay bar and polishing work.
MANUAL
How do you use Tar Remover Thixotropic?
- First wash the car and let the paint dry completely; the product is applied to a dry surface.
- Work in the shade on cool paint and test the product on an inconspicuous spot first.
- Spray the product from bottom to top onto the contaminated area so that you do not get dry streaks.
- Let it dwell for 5 to 15 minutes; for heavy contamination, you can extend this time, but never let the product dry out.
- Thoroughly rinse the treated areas afterwards with a pressure washer.
- Then wash the car again with car shampoo to remove all residues.
- Are there still tar spots left? Repeat the treatment instead of scrubbing, and reapply protection afterwards, as a tar remover strips away existing wax or sealant layers.
